Privacy & cookies

Last updated: 12 October 2026

This page explains what data karandev.it collects, why, and what you can ask me at any time. In short: no cookies, no tracking, your data is only used to reply to you.

Data controller

The data controller is Jaskaran Singh (Karan), software developer based in Mantua, Italy. For any question about your data, write to jasky2801@gmail.com.

What data I collect

Only what you send me: name, email, business or company (optional) and your message, when you use the Contact form or the email field in the footer. Like any website, the hosting server also automatically logs some technical data about visits (IP address, browser, requested page) for security and to keep the site running.

Why I use them

I use the form data only to reply to you and, if you wish, to prepare a proposal: the legal basis is your request (pre-contractual measures, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Technical data is used to protect and run the site (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). I don't use your data for advertising, I don't sell it and I don't share it with anyone.

Who processes them on my behalf

To run the site I rely on a few external services: Vercel Inc. (website hosting), Resend (delivery of the email with your message) and my email provider (where I receive your request). Some of them are based in the United States: transfers are covered by the safeguards required by the GDPR (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses).

How long I keep them

I keep messages for as long as needed to handle your request and, if we work together, for the duration of our relationship; in any case no longer than 24 months after our last contact, unless required by law. Hosting technical logs are deleted automatically after a few days.

Your rights

You can ask me at any time to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, or receive it in a portable format (Art. 15–22 GDPR). Just write to jasky2801@gmail.com. If you believe your data is being handled improperly, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it) or your local authority.

Cookies

This site doesn't use cookies: no profiling, analytics or technical cookies. To understand how many people visit the site I use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits anonymously and in aggregate, without cookies and without identifying you. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels or embedded content from other sites, and fonts are served directly by the site. That's why you don't see any cookie banner. Links to external sites (such as GitHub or project websites) lead to pages with their own policies.
